WINE COUNTRY NETWORK LAUNCHES VINOTASTING NEWSLETTER FOR WINE AFICIONADOS

Denver, Colorado--Wine Country Network, Inc., producers of Wine Country International magazine and the Denver International Wine Festival, today announced the launch of “Vinotasting,” a full-color print and online wine-tasting newsletter aimed at sophisticated wine aficionados.

Despite the weak economy, 2009 was the 16th straight year of growth in wine sales, up 1.5%, with 276 million cases compared with 205 million in 2000. Today there are more than 6,100 wineries in the United States and more than 40,000 International wineries. The US wine market is evolving into the largest market for wines in the world.

"Vinotasting” aims to help consumers find exceptional wine values.
Christopher Davies, Chairman & CEO of Wine Country Network explains, “Our tasting panel will meet several times monthly to taste wines blind, thus providing unbiased evaluations of the newest wine releases. Our ‘Best Buy’ ratings are given to wines that we feel offer exceptional quality for their price. Most ‘Best Buy’ wines are $20 or less. Our ‘Best Wine’ ratings distinguish exceptional quality wines of any price point when compared with other similar wines."

Harold J. Baer, Jr., the former owner and founder of “The Colorado Wine News,” has joined Wine Country Network as Editor-in-Chief of “Vinotasting.” He brings more than 20 years of experience in wine journalism, judging and overseeing prestigious wine competitions such as the Denver International Wine Competition.

The new “Vinotasting” print newsletter will be published on a quarterly basis and offered to all subscribers of “Wine Country International® “ magazine. A deluxe annual subscription will include 4 newsletters, 2 issues of “Wine Country International®” glossy magazine and membership in the Vinotasting money-saving members club. Cost: $24

Wine Country Network will also publish “Vinotasting” as a stand-alone printed newsletter and offer online, PDF and Kindle versions by subscription.
